I don’t see any leaks–how can I know whether I need a new roof?
- Dust off your flashlight and climb into the attic. Do you see any cracks of light coming through or water streaks in the wood boards?
- Check when your roof was last replaced. A typical asphalt shingle roof lasts about 20-25 years.
- Check your gutters–are they spilling out shingle granules? That’s a key indicator your roof is near the end of its shelf life.
- Check your shingles–are they cracked or damaged? They should be lying flat against the surface and tightly against one another.

The team was communicative and professional throughout the entire process. The work team worked tirelessly from the morning till the evening to ensure the completion . The price of the entire project was transparent so no hidden prices.
Did some roofing in my younger days, learned enough to know the work is very physically demanding. Also learned it’s important to get several bids. You can tell a lot meeting and discussing the entire re-roof process with the roofing advisor. Decisions based solely on price caught me 20 years ago. This time around I made it a point to listen to the whys and reasons for each bid item. Comparing bids against each other was helpful, but talking with the representative during the pre-bid inspection was most critical for me. Acme Roofing representative Jay Clement is very experienced and knowledgeable. Jay took his time with a hands on inspection, including measurements. When I say hands on I literally mean hands on. Jay lifted roof shingles in some places, the same with metal flashing. He noticed and pointed out deficiencies , and potential problems. From cleaning off my roof many times, I knew of some, but not all areas needing attention or changes. Once on the ground Jay worked up and printed out the bid proposal. We went through each bid item in detail. The new ridge vent was discussed in detail. Jay learned at a seminar the importance of understanding how ridge ventilation can work. After a very detailed discussion on the importance of attic space ventilation, Jay recommended Lo-OmniRidge vent made by Lomanco. He showed me how the ridge vent system works, and out performs standard ridge vent system. I felt confident Jay was looking out for our homes best interest. My selection for Acme Roofing to re-roof my home was based on several factors. The professionalism, and thoroughness were big, but passing on knowledge was the clincher.Acme Roofing representatives Ben Pollard -Roof Specialist, and Tim Hagen - Project Manager, showed up on the day re- roofing started. Both discussed steps that would take place before, during, and after work was performed. All Acme Representatives gave us contact information on business cards and encouraged us to call if any questions or concerns arise. Ben was often on site to make sure the roofing team had what they needed to get the work done. Ben went on the roof to inspect work in progress, and to speak with the roofers.Roofers Diego, Salvador, Jose, and Johnathon are real professionals. All wore safety harnesses and were careful but fast at doing their jobs. The roofing team were respectful of our property, covering the perimeter of ground with tarps and protecting garage doors with plywood from old roofing debris being thrown into a dumpster trailer. A powerful magnet on wheels is used to pick up any and all nails. It took 1 1/2 days to roof our rather large rambler style home. Very impressive! We selected Malarkey Vista SBS 40 year modified laminated architectural roofing with algae block in midnight black. The new roof really makes our house and trim molding pop!
Highly recommended. Fairly priced, transparent, easy to work with, punctual, and communicative. Every ACME employee I've talked with has been a pleasure to interact with and any questions I've asked got met with a thorough answer. We had one problem with a piece of trim that was missed and it got addressed immediately upon the final collection/inspection.
First, let me say that this is the best roofing company I have ever had the pleasure to do business with and I used to work in the roofing industry. From the beginning they were very professional and personable. Jay was our sales person and he was wonderful. No high pressure tactics and just walked us through every step to come. He was knowledgeable and answered every question we had with a thorough answer. Once we made the decision to go with Acme Roofing, it was smooth sailing all the way. The installers were very professional, communicative and worked together like a well oiled machine. Our contact in the field was Tim and he was awesome. So kind and patient and we had some great conversation. Acme did a bang up job from start to finish. 5 stars all of the way!!! If I could rate more, I would. Not to mention the price was very reasonable. Good job Acme Roofing!!!

I had an amazing experience with ACME Roofing! The customer service was outstanding. Jay was my first contact. He went over every aspect of the roofing materials required to complete the re-roof. He also supplied us with shingle and underlayment samples and answered any question we had. The proposal he submitted to us was clear and concise. I was impressed with Tim (the field supervisor). He always took time to answer my questions and concerns to my satisfaction. Tim and Benji also stopped by several times to make sure the job was going smoothly. After the re-roof was complete, Tim did a walk-through with us and covered all aspects of the re-roof from tear-off to cleanup. The roofing crew also did a great job. They always showed up on time and never left a mess at the end of the day.
I’ve never been one to post reviews but didn’t want to pass up the opportunity to praise Acme Roofing for a job which exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds. The roof looks fantastic and we are thrilled to have found an honest company who I am proud to highly recommend.After getting several other quotes, we went with Acme Roofing as they were honest, willing to work within our thin budget while still providing top notch product and services.Honesty goes a long way in my book and Acme is trustworthy. Most of the other companies who came over, were not very thorough during the 'free estimate' visit. Acme was. They took their time and even spent considerable time in the attic. Because of this, there were no hidden 'surprises' with the final price.Quite frankly, I was expecting a few days of chaos but working with them was actually like a pleasant breeze. Tim and his crew worked together like a well oiled machine. They showed up on time, were professional, communicative and so easy to work with.We were informed up front it would be a 2 day job. When they arrived (on the dot), they got right to work. There was no dilly dallying. Each of the large crew worked like rock stars atop the roof, each taking a different section. With their own unique nailing rhythm, from inside it sounded like a wonderful drum circle of sorts and not the horrible pounding I was anticipating. Imagine our surprise when lo and behold, they finished in just one day and no corners were cut. In addition, they left the property cleaner than they found it. I was impressed, as were the neighbors.After what I thought was a thorough clean up, Acme was so conscientious, they even came back the following day with a magnet catcher to ensure there were no missed stray nails or small debris on the ground which could possibly hurt my animals.We are so glad to be able to support and praise a neighborhood company - one who truly cares about their customers and treats them right. Tim and his crew are simply the best!
